How to Use the QR Code & Barcode Generator

Use the mode switch at the top to choose QR Code or Barcode. Everything runs in your browser—no signup and no data sent to a server.

Create a QR code

  1. Select a content type: URL, text, email, phone, SMS, Wi-Fi, or vCard.
  2. Fill in the fields for that type (for example SSID and password for Wi-Fi).
  3. Adjust size, quiet zone, error correction, and colors.
  4. Download PNG or SVG, or copy the PNG to your clipboard.

Create a barcode

  1. Switch to Barcode mode and pick a format (CODE128, EAN-13, UPC-A, and more).
  2. Enter a value that matches the format rules shown under the input.
  3. Customize bar width, height, margin, colors, and optional human-readable text.
  4. Download a print-ready PNG or scalable SVG.

High contrast (dark bars on a light background) and enough margin around the code improve scan reliability on phones and dedicated barcode scanners.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which error correction level should I use for QR codes?

Medium is fine for most digital use. Use High for printed materials that might get damaged or dirty.

Can I make a Wi-Fi QR code for guests?

Yes. Select Wi-Fi, enter SSID, password, and encryption type. Guests can scan and connect instantly.

Which barcode formats are supported?

CODE128, CODE39, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, ITF-14, ITF, MSI, Pharmacode, and Codabar. Each format validates input so invalid values are blocked before download.

What is the difference between a QR code and a barcode?

QR codes are 2D and store more data (URLs, Wi-Fi, contacts). Linear barcodes are 1D and best for product IDs, SKUs, and retail scanning with standard barcode readers.
